Educational Visits

Educational visits/visitors and outdoor and adventurous activities are an integral part of the children's education at Bentfield Primary School. They offer opportunities to enrich the curriculum, enabling the children to have first-hand experience of a wide range of topics and activities, as well as further developing pupils' independence and their ability to work with one another. Our school runs a wide range of educational visits. These may include:

  • Walks around the village of Stansted Mountfitchet, including to the local church
  • Half day and day visits by coach or train to places of interest to support the curriculum, e.g. places of historical or environmental interest
  • Visitors to the school, e.g. theatre groups or science workshops
  • A three day residential visit for pupils in Year 5, and a five day residential visit for pupils in Year 6
